You once called it your
"best friend's birthday" while shitty
music filled the store.
Nothing amazing
in being amazed by what's
supposed to amaze.
Maybe hypocrite,
but I don't feel the guilt for
kissing boys or girls.
This dance is scary.
You fear God, and I fear I'm
stepping on your feet.
You still try too hard
to make the world seem mythic.
Please just love people.
