On both legs of my flight back home last Saturday my ears plugged from pressure. On the last jump from Oakland back to Portland, the pain was excruciating, and my eyes teared up just from gritting my teeth and trying not to scream. All the flight attendant was able to suggest was that I blow my nose as hard as I could.

It didn't help much.

The next morning my left ear had opened up, but it's already Monday now, and I can still barely hear out of my right. I'm sitting in my studio watching the meters on the monitoring system. Both of them are moving, but I'm only really hearing music on one side. It's irritating, and it makes me want to punch something.

The good news is that the Stereolab show here in Portland has been pushed back from yesterday to Wednesday night. Hopefully I'll be able to hear properly by then. Otherwise, they're gonna be Monolab.
