The Tree of Knowledge
squished into McDonald's pie
with added sugar.
What has he learned now?
Self-deprecation: He's fat
but not overweight.
Not sweet, a cup of,
borrowed from an old neighbor,
tea he shares with her.
There was no apple.
It all works out at some point.
