recuperating
I got back from a nice vacation last Sunday night. It was a bittersweet ending to a wonderful time since I spent almost the entire jaunt with my girlfriend. She lives about 3000 miles away from me, and we don't get to see each other nearly as often as we'd like, so I was pretty ambivalent about coming home.
I was happy to see the Professor and Blau. They seemed to be happy to see me as well, and I know they're pretty psyched to have access to the studio again. I kept it shut up while I was out since I didn't have time to really kitty-proof it before I left. They like the window in here, and there are several good high perches on top of the desks.
I have spent the last couple days applying for jobs and finishing up my portfolio. I'm long overdue for most of this stuff, but the prospect of having money with which to make and execute important plans has me more motivated than I have been in a while.
So, my little sister is married now. That's kind of weird.
The idea of marriage is a lot less weird to me than it used to be, even at the times when I was feeling weird enough to think about it at length. I suppose that in itself is kind of weird, but I don't know. There are some things I've stopped analyzing to death. It's really not worth it after you spend more than a week with your best friend just driving around the country looking at interesting things and remembering why you fell in love in the first place even if you can't put your finger on it or make much sense of any of it anyway.
Eastern Pennsylvania is telling me something.
