not fair not fair not fair
I took a short nap not long ago because I stayed up too late last night and needed a little rest, partly because I'm fighting some kind of minor head cold (although I think I'm winning the fight!) and partly because I was procrastinating a little, just feeling delayed getting up to speed today.
It's beautiful outside today in Portland, and I have most of the windows open, and the cats have been enjoying the fresh air and sitting on the sills all over the house plotting their escape and planning what they will do to the birds and squirrels when they finally win their freedom from this apartment.
I almost felt bad lying down for a while to rest because I'd be missing part of today's weather, but my bedroom is extremely well lit by two big windows on the corner of my apartment so I reasoned that I'd be enjoying the weather even as I slept. It was nice and comfortable. Not too hot even though the room was filled with sun. I conked out near instantly.
Then I proceeded to have an anxiety fueled nightmare for about an hour. That probably would have been fine except for the fact that this was the first time in weeks I remembered most of my dream when I woke up.
