Relaxation came,
she wished the train were slower
this being her life.
He was, for a change,
a change, explaining this mood,
this belief in things.
She had long believed
a one-to-one ratio:
artwork to meaning
The crux of a thing
needn't be so obvious
as stops clearly marked.
(This train, with respect
to her and other patrons,
could be anywhere.)
