negativland vs the monkees

I have had all of the Over the Edge releases by Negativland for ages, and I've heard them all several times but tonight finally noticed the bit in the middle of Vol. 4: Dick Vaughn's Moribund Music of the '70s where Doctor Oslo Norway states that "[the Monkees] were themselves created in response to the simple fact that Michael Jackson was not yet possible."

Genius.
