Even if you don't
want it, like it or need it,
it's on the table.
The older ladies
ask for water with lemon
at the Red Lobster.
Every so often,
I forget how often, but
we got free lobster.
The guy in the suit
lectured his young sons on tips,
left me two dollars.
A whole summer, like
whole years, like a lifetime spent
apart from them all.
