Nothing on TV.
You gave me your band's CD
with a caveat.
Me at 22.
I thought I would make some films
and become famous.
You at 26,
or were you 27?
I don't think I knew.
We had our grand plans.
We criticized everything,
embraced laziness.
We both laughed and laughed.
The coffee sat in the pot
so long it turned black.
