5 haiku 287
This music is not
soothing. I watch a teen girl
reading, mouth-breathing.
She's a slow reader,
excruciatingly so,
following a card.
I can gauge her speed
exactly by watching her
hands slide the postcard.
It slips and stutters
refusing to slide smoothly.
She's maybe twenty.
When the radio
reappears, the deejay's like
a child molester.
