Boy, this is awkward.
We've arranged this meeting place,
and we've met. Let's eat.
Let's be surrounded
by college kids who act fake.
Feel less alien.
All the years between,
you've never been shotgun to
my narrow escapes.
First wheel in my hands
since I don't know when and the
mirror and your head.
I began here once.
I do and do not recall,
but this is our bench.
There's always a small
alarm, and I've forgotten
how this is your life.
A story so odd
it's a non-cliché cliché.
I begin again.
