7 haiku 18
Captive audience
sits, listens to me and then
declares its freedom.
Really, I just want
to recall accurately
(unless it's painful!)
Someone once told me
"Haven't lied until you've lied
to your diary."
That's not true, really.
Nobody once told me that.
I just made it up.
Seems like it should have
happened though. Maybe I'd like
if somebody did.
Also seems likely
I wasn't the first to think
to phrase it that way.
Diary writing
is the assumption of a
captive audience.
