7 haiku 31
We drove home laughing.
I did get a lecture though,
about girls and cars.
A cup of cocoa
smelling oddly of cat shit.
I wrote a letter.
A box of cassettes,
wrapping paper and ribbon
and these instructions.
Exactly filling
seven and one half pages
plus a diagram.
"PHOTOS DO NOT BEND"
with a square drawn around it
and rubberbanded.
On the back of one:
"LOOK CLOSE! THE BONFIRE HAS A
WHOLE TURKEY IN IT."
She is a genius
with the handwriting of a
sixteen year-old girl.
