7 haiku 56
He said menial
tasks keep the body busy
and let the mind roam.
He said he had met
but one other janitor
with the same notions.
He said (and he laughed)
the only problem is the
fellow was a Fool.
He said a few things
could take the pep from his step.
(His laugh was giant.)
He said not bathrooms
as a general rule, but
Variable Johns.
He said by day three
you'll know standard rounds minus
emergency trips.
He showed me a scar
from long before he traded
weapon for plunger.
