sentimental value in microfarads
I've been cleaning out my closets.
These are the parts that came out of my beloved Vibro Champ when I overhauled it quite a few years back. I removed and replaced all of these Mallory electrolytic capacitors because they had dried out, and the amp had lost a ton of power as a result. The caps are currently as useless as the burnt out lightbulb among them. I just can't bring myself to chuck parts that were hand-soldered by someone on an assembly line over 35 years ago.
So, I guess remember this next time I tell you hanging onto some useless thing for sentimental reasons is stupid. Because I will. Probably sooner rather than later.
