Jotted: Note to Self:
Unbecoming: Declaring
Metaphysical.
"Well, milk is wet," said
the Frank I knew in college.
"Cigarettes are dry."
So we made mistakes,
and we learned, and, where needed,
we made up mistakes.
This cat can get up.
He can go to the kitchen.
He can freshen drinks.
In the space between
the one belief and the next
what passes for faith
"Well, I take these notes,"
said one of the other Franks.
"Then organize them."
So, what? So I took
the easy way out. A break
in measured routine.
